I found it.."The Lightening Tree"

When I was a little girl there were a few things I enjoyed watching on TV. One was indeed, Battlestar Galactica, the other was anything to do with Star Wars..oh and the series "V"..and the third was a show I remember called "Follyfoot" ..better remembered for its theme song The Lightening Tree. Growing up on a farmlet and having a horse I adored this show. It had great stories to tell, lots of animals and lovely actors to boot. I endeavour to find a copy of the series to show my kids sometime. The search begins now....

Hi Cazzie,
I think the tapes of that show may have ended up where some of the stars of the show did, down at the glue factory.

Hi Rebecca, haha very funny..as funny as my pop was when he cracked the shits at a horse he bet on in a race that would come in last...he would yell and curse saying, "Run you bastard, run all the way to the knackery!!!" It was funny.
Hey Dr Evil, perhaps you are right, but then I was just 5 or 6 at the time of viewing and horse mad, although I didn't mind the guy in the series, the one in the pic there. I remember his name was Steve.
Heya Mr Huggies, theyre the characters Dora and Steve, theyre in YOUNG LOVE!! Awwwww I hear ya say :)
Heya Ace, I have a pic of my horse somewhere..I have to find it. My horses name was Mabel..not my fault, she was given to me after she had been named. SHe was a grey/silver dapple pony. It was my husband that rode the horse named Kitkat, it was a bay gelding, a friends' horse it was.

Hehehe, Stef, you crack me up!! It was actualy through no fault of my own that I was born into a family headed by MY DAD who is a sci fi nutter!!! Including the reading of many a sci fi book...I just never GOT it...the books never had much meaning to me.
I did like watching these series at the time though. If it was my choice I'd have had young talent team on every day, count down and of course hey hey it's saturday...but it'd be hard to call it hey hey it's everyday.. if it was on all week!!!!
Also the Carry Ons, On The Buses, Black Adder, The Benny Hill Show and Paul Hogan Show too.
