Start of another year.... 2010

Hubby is making his Opa's famous Oiliebollen's as a tradition on New Year's Day... the fruit has been soaked in alcohol for a few days... the smell of the oil heating up combined with that of the alcohol soaked fruit..yummo!
I trust everyone had great New Year... and I know it is just another day, another 24hrs but I sincerely wish everyone a prosperous and healthy New Year..for each and every day!

  3. Galen, thanks heaps, you make me smile :)

Brian, hey there! Same to you and yours mate!

Andrew, now now, haha, look... it is only a New Years Day tradition, I would not recommend people have them all the time, secondary to the fact they are a fried item :(
But...the taste factor with the rum flavoured raisins and currents, in a yummy yeast ball, that is deep fried in the best Moro Oil... and dusted lightly with icing sugar... yummy! I think hubby puts some spices in there too, cinnamon or something...he reckons it is top secret anyway, like the Colonel's secret herbs and spice mix at KFC, haha
