Master Chef Australia...

Today I was woken up to two little girls playing in their bedroom at 5:30am! Oh My God! A day off of work and this is what happens. I don't know why they woke up so early, but I think it might have something to do with Bondi the dog..my 5th child! He was bouncing around under Mia's sheets. That made me mad.
I shoved him out the door, poor dog, it was about 6degrees Celsius out there. I told the girls off, made them go back to their own beds and sleep.
Later on in the day I made salad and all sorts of odds and ends from the fridge were placed on the table for lunch. They all took whatever they fancied and et it all. We watched a funny movie on the telly and then I took Sarah to Target to get her an orange T Shirt for her performance this week with school. She will be singing "I can see clearly now..", I love that song.
When we returned from "Tar-Jay" with her $8 T-shirt, yayy for the 20% off the original price.. I began to prepare food.
Sarah peeled the onions, I do not know why but she likes doing that and she does not well up in the eye department when she carries out the task so I let her. The result of hard work and good preparation is what you see in the picture..lovely sausage rolls. Next time I plan to make some fetta and spinach triangles and tuna, corn and asparagus parcels too.
Added to this I also cut up a butternut pumpkin and added some onion and some stock and made soup. Enough for this week to take to work, and freeze some too.
The day threatened to rain but it did not eventuate. I was glad, because I washed all the sheets and covers and they all smell lovely being dried out on the washing line. Gave my poor little clothes horses a deserved rest :)

You need to take a nap. :(

You have cute daughters. I think they are growing up beautiful daughters. If my yonger son was a daughter, my husband really is into her.

It's been so long since I had a day like that. The closest came when I had my 7 yr. old grandaughter for all day and overnight recently. I was really tired by the next day so I congratulate you on being able to keep up !!

Yum! Nothing like a foodie Sunday. What kind of meat do you use in your sausage rolls? I have always used sausage mince, but it leeches so much fat it kind of spoils them.

Still soup weather too!

Mal, it was good fun.

Lucy, a nap would have been great. Our children are certainly growing up fast and it is nice to see this in our writing isn't it?

Mom, what did you go an make? :)

Ginnie, I know, I was tired at the end of the day also. And, then I watched CSI Miami..and I thought I would go to bed but another CSI Miami began, so I had to watch that too..I cannot miss out on Horatio :)

Foxy,:: Sausage rolls ..I used the Borg's Pastry Recipe. They have sausage mince, low fat beef mince, worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, herbs, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, and salt and pepper.

Keshi is sure was :)

LOVE Target!! Did a run there yesterday myself. Ours have Starbucks stores...which adds to the experience. Do yours?

Thanks for the kind words and wonderful encouragement!

Sounds like a good day was had by all...One morning at about 5am way back when mine were 9 and 12 we woke up as melissa ran into our bedroom with the cry of "Alison is out on the roof and can't get down"!!!! Considering we had 12ft ceilings and a high peaked roof then I flew...they had BOTH been out on the roof (WHY???) but Ali was too little to reach the ladder with her little legs...she was almost dangling.
