Tom's blog

Tom has a blog, he is over there on my blog roll. I do not love the name of his blog, and because I am currently working in Emergency and am seeing traumas come through the door that are secondary to off road motorbikes, well, I say no more.
I did tell him he has the ability to change the name when he wants to..and so there you go :)
Informed choices, they can be made by children too :)

I have sat on the road at 3am with a 28 year-old police officer whose leg was in the gutter after a car knocked him off his bike outside our house.
I phoned 000 before rushing out the door with a blanket, as I saw it from an upstairs window.
I saw the ambo put the leg, boot still on, into a large (obviously) plastic bag.
"get my jacket off" he said to me, bone-shard visible at his severed thigh.
1. Alexandra Avenue near Anderson Street is dangerous at night.
2. the big butch boots do no good.
3. cars are a danger to bikes.
4. I won't tell you about my son knocked from his Sportster by a driver. A year in physio. $92,000 payout.

Wow - erm - hang in there Cazzie! I admire your courage, and patience! In the meantime, if you want to "play" for a bit, I've tagged you! Stop on by for a quick peek if you'd like to see what it's all about.

Hey he has done a great job. Yes motor bikes are dangerous but so are a lot of other things. I much prefer our road bikes to the trail bikes though. Used to kill me watching the kids wrap themselves around trees at the club. Thank god we have that up. We still have the bikes but don't ride every weekend anymore.

Karisma, you are right, there are so many other things that are dangerous out there!
