Mia's First Day At School...

Well, first day went without a hitch. Mia started school at 12:30pm and went until 2:30pm for today. She has an awesome funky teacher who corriographed the school Rock Eistedfored last year and helps out, in her own time, with the school plays and other concerts too.
Tom, Nick and Sarah also have wnderful teachers too and so the day went very well. Even if it did rain buckets this morning and leave the already dug up road out front of the school looking like a mud bath!

Mia looks happy and confident Cazzie. No tears. I reckon she will be fine.

What a cutie pie she is! And what a big day for her.
Is she the last of your brood?

Looks like she was ready! So, they're all in school now, right? Mia is the youngest?

AAAAH! Soo Cute!
My littlest guy is in Grade One already and I would like to start over again..once they get on that school escalator TIME flys by.

Of course his older brother is finishing Grade 12 this year so my poor little brain is confuzzled.

Of course #*%@! would be my alternate response.

That's so exciting! I still remember my first day of school - or rather, I remember the morning. My mum used to drive me to the bus stop when she dropped my brother off, and the first day I went to school I remember being so excited and asking and confirming a million times that I would actually get out of the car and onto the bus this time!!! YAY!!! hehe

andrew, she has been great second day in so far.

Mom, Yes, she is my baby..but shhh, do not tell her that ok :)

Jay, she sure was ready. Yes, she is the youngest.

Sheri, yayyy, I been wondering where you been lady!

Homo Esc, wow, you have one age extreme to the other mate, no wonder you are confuzzled!

Keshi, I think you are right matey :)

Steph, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree :-P

Stace, your story is not that dissimilar to mine..catching the bus to school and all that because of living in the sticks.

Mia is lovely, beautiful child. I am glad that the first day at school went well.

We have just started our second semester in my district. We attend school from late August to early June.

Mia is a dear little thing...lovely name... always smiling...takes me back to when Melissa started with Mrs Nelson in 1980...I still see some of those original first day mothers around town and we all remember.

oh my, how awesome - she doesn't look shell shocked/crying/screaming blue murder like some of my little pretties. The teacher sounds like a talent - having someone so creative as a prep teacher is awesome!

All of my babies were like Mia on their first day; confident, relaxed and excited.

Unlike many of the mothers......

I'm approaching the end of this part of the journey, my eldest is in her 2nd year out of school, middle one is in Yr 12, and baby is in Yr 8.

Enjoy this time with your kids, Cazzie; it's over in a blink or 2!!!!!!!!

Love from another exclamation mark and full-stop (in the form of an unfinished thought.....)abuser :0)

2 Hours! What luxury!!! I remember getting dropped off at 8:45am on my first day and not seeing mum again until 3:30pm. I absolutely HATED it and probably would have tried to escape if they hadn't let me sit next to my best freind in class!

My niece started grade 2 this week, and she's so excited to be allowed to go on the "big swings" this year.

Glad Mia got a great teacher. It makes all the difference. Hope she had a fun day! :)
