2008 so far..

So far this year has been a very busy one. School Holiday's are always busy and combined with work it is double that.
Our weather here in Melbourne has been extremely hot and so when the cooler days roll in it is very nice. Opening up the windows and doors to let the cool air in for the following days....Thursday is supposed to reach 41 degrees Celsius.
I am burning my favourite sandalwood incense right now and have the Weber BBQ cooking a lamb roast....now, just to invite Tom Cruise over eh, LOL.
My car is in need of a vacuum and some polishing inside, the hot windy dry weather has made the dashboard look like I have been outback or something. Then again, I guess we have been outback of sorts when we went up bush to my Aunt's place.
In the next few days we will be going to the Drive In cinemas to see a flick, probably The Golden Compass or something like that. The Drive In cinemas is always fun. I wish they would do a re-run of Grease, it would be fun to watch it at the Drive-Ins I reckon.
How has your 2008 been so far?

There's not a one drive in cinema up here anymore. They've all been replace by those silly cinaplexes and their pre-popped popcorn.

Of course, in the winter like this with snow and sleet every day, they wouldn't do us any good...

I might be going to the movies tomorrow... not the drive-in though. I think you're right about Grease, it would be so cool to see that at a drive-in. (Aidan would hate me for saying that, he doesn't like Grease!)

My 2008 has been pretty cruisy so far... my place of business is effectively closed all January, I'm just coming in two or three days a week to make sure everything's cool and get a few little things done... then I pay myself, plus bonuses, and I go home and do jigsaw puzzles!!!

Loved the Drive In...saw Picnic at Hanging Rock there in 1975 I think... in the pouring rain... baby in the back and husband being tolerant of my needing to see this "woman's movie" in which, in our home viodeo version many years latrer he played the leading part...

ahh drive inns
