Christmas in Melbourne...

This is the Christmas Tree displayed at the old town square in Melbourne, it is much prettier at night with the lights on it. We went to see the Myer Christmas Windows, it has a display that is not Christmas-syy yet it is great to look at. It involves a Children's Book from a Melbourne author..great to see. I bet he is proud to be following such a tradition and to have his book picked as the theme this year. Uno's Garden by Graeme Base ... check it out :)

Although it looks ok at night time, the tree is looked very dated and old. I thought Myer christmas window last year was much better. Enough whingeing. I love the kids reaction when the crocodiles come out and snap.

I still can't get used to the idea of Christmas in the summer.

I'm 24 years old, and in that time I have learned one thing, Christmas is supposed to be cold... ;-)

Silly southern hemisphere.

I went to see the Myer windows on Saturday night with some friends. To be honest I'm a bit over it all - maybe that'll change when I have kids! But I do remember getting very excited about the Myer windows when I was young. Such fun! It's great that they keep up that tradition. The kids love it.
