Answering a question...

This is to answer QOD's question in her comment on my last post....yes, this IS how cold it can get here in Victoria. Thing is, this state is amazing. You can drive from the sea on a nice day, and go 3 hours across the state to get to snow if you wanted to. I guess we are pretty lucky like that.
We went to Mt Macedon tonight after the kids finished school because of reports of snow on the Mount...and snow it did. Families came along and all the kids were squeeling with delight.

Me, I hate the snow and the cold, although I do think it is magical as the snow falls. I just liked seeing all the kids play and have a great time. They ganged up on their dad a lot with snow balls, it was very funny.

Off to hugg Mia, she is in a funny mood because she had slept some of the way home from the Mount. Their bed time is now but it will be somewhat interrupted from their short nap in the car.

It's 95 degrees here with 90% humidity, enjoy your snow! The weather has been really weird in Oklahoma lately so 95 degrees actually feels good. We've had major flooding, cool temperatures and not much a summer yet, I'm looking forward to some heat!

We get months of that up here! You'd love it! Michigan is a winter wonderland, when the white crystals of snow stick to the trees when no wind blows it to the ground, its unreal. Forests of crystline sleeping trees. Gorgeous, but very cold!

That looks so refreshing! It's close to 100 degrees here in KY today.

It's hot and humid where I live today, so that snow looks pretty good to me. Great pics.

You get the wost of it on that side of the bay, ballarat, daylesford are both getting snow, frankston got an apparent temp of (wind chill etc) -2.9, that is cold, way too cold.

WOuld have been an amazing experience for the kids. The first time that Stace ever saw snow we were traveling, we got snow in venice, snow at sea level, NOw thats cold!

As a kid I remember starting out in snow with happy smiles and a sense of great fun, but a couple of hours later after many snowballs, snowmen, sliding around, we were cold and sodden and just wanted to sit in the car with the heater on. Yours look perhaps more sensibly dressed than we perhaps were.

Hey everyone, yes, the snow was fun for the kids, as I say, I love the LOOK of it, not the COLD of it..gimme 25 degrees celcius (77F) any day people.

I went for a massive walk today and even though I was warm with scarf and coat on, my upper legs were cold, might wear my TED socks next time.

Aidan, that would have been awesome for Stace, my first view of smow falling was in Dayelsford in the mid 90's, it was magical.

Andrew, yeah, we rugged the kids up very well and they stayed warm and dry...though, the windows of the car were all fogged up when we left, condensation from the wet outers that we took off prior to sitting in our seats.
