Steve Irwin.......Thank God You're here....

Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin got inducted into the Gold Logie Hall Of Fame for 2007..Yayyy. Couldn't have gone to a better bloke. Boooo to all the rude people in the Logie Event audience for speaking while Terri Irwin put her heart and soul into words. Have you people no manners???? Creeps...moving right along.....

Also, to everyone on Thank God You're Here, well done on your Logie award. This shiw is the brain child of Working Dog Productions here Down Under. Not only is this show a great creative break from mundane shows broadcast on the idiot box, it is fun and leaves me in stitches laughing. The show is spreading it's love Worldwide now... lookout on the NBC Network in America, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Israel and the Netherlands. You just never quite know what is going to be behind the door!!

While you are at it people, would you go and register with the Bone Marrow Donor's Registry . All it is is a blood test. If Lantern can do it, you can too. You may just save someone's life, if not in your own country, someone around the World.

I love Thank God You're Here. I was laughing so hard at Fran Drescher the other evening.

TGYH is the best idea for a TV show since...since...Monty Python!
All of the tried and true formats have been done to death...how many more CSI's can they possibly spin off? Can CSI Timbuktu be far off?

Steve Irwin was so wonderful because of his enthusiasm and his picture should be in the Dictionary next to the word itself.

I watched TV for the first time in a year at a friends house... Im sorry i cant get excited about the logies, the ammount spent on the clothes alone, could have made the world a beter place...

MIndless presenters, vacuous recipients... Steve Irwin, you can love him or hate him but you cant fault his heart, he did what he thought was right and i belive the recognition is worthy...

Doing blood dontaion shorty, i should sign up as marrow donor

No idea about the TV bit, I'm afraid. But the bone marrow bit - damn straight, get signed up! I got typed for a possible match but didn't get selected which disappointed me somewhat. Which is a bit odd considering that they won't take my blood round here?

FC&F, ohh, I love Fran Drescher, wuld be great if she were to come Down Under for just one of our episodes of TGYH.

Homo Esc, I totally agree, awesome improv. Too many doom and gloom CSI's, for sure. The dictionary idea, fabulous.

Aidan, haha, I do that sometimes around here, going in as hubby and not myself.
I don't know where it went, but I had put in the post that I do not love the logies, just that I caught the event on TV at work while sitting with a patient/friend of mine (hence the want for donating to bone marrow etc). I usually fall asleep by the time the gold logie is announced!! I heard Terri Irwin on radio talking as I was pulling up the drive. I ran into the house to catch her. Good for her for being so brave on stage. Then, I turned it off after the part where TGYH got an award, great for them.
I agree, the outfits are outrageously expensive and uncalled for.
Thanks so much for going to donate. It is so important.

Trundling Grunt, Damn straight, for sure!! WOnders why they don;t want your blood, sad, glad you got a great attitude.

I'll have to watch for Thank God You're Here.

Cazzie, I missed the history post until today but wanted to tell you that William Rickett's Sanctuary has to be one of the coolest places. I would love to see that up close and personal. Maybe some day.

Good on ya, Steve!

I'll have to keep an eye out for TGYH.

Huh, I give blood, but it never occurred to me to sign up for bone marrow. I'll have to remedy that.

I still grapple with whether or not he died. I see him on tv and then remember he met his early demise.

I just bought the Tribute DVD to Steve and his life. I loved his outlook and have a friend whose sister is a nurse at Nambour hospital. She was there the night Wes got bitten by the croc and him and Steve came in to the ER. She said he was just like that in real life and thanking everyone for helping "his best mate Wes". I miss him and have no idea how Terri survives in the public eye with her grief. Poor old Steve!!

Steve: a great gut. I was entertained enormously by him; he was a full-of-life character. Very sad indeed about the freak accident.
God be with you Steve and if you're listening send us all a little helping hand... those who need it. Y:-) Paddy

Wayne Knight was so funny on Thank God Your Here. I haven't really watched it too much since the first episode though.

Gawilli, I so agree, William Rickett's is great.

Keshi, we miss him too, makes it hard when he was so damned lively.

Stormin Mormon, thanks for your encouragement, glad to have you around :)

Mark, now that I really look at it, it sure as hell does, PMSL!!!

Susan, that'd be great love, just a little extra blood all it takes. Yes, do try and catch TGYH, each country has their own hosts and guests on the show, it is great.

Egan, I know it, larger than life he will remain.

General Boy, it sure did get gypped :( We have such great talent out there, wish we could all award them.

Jules, great story, every one has a story about Steve, and I reckon he was bonza :)

Paddy, I second what you say.

Captain, the episodes we have had here are our Aussie ones, with guest comedisans and personalities, always a good show, never know what to expect, Im love the improv and the unknown :)

Lantern, LOL, crackin' me up here. Glad to have you around.

G-Man, go for it, and thanks :)

Beefcake...another The Office nut...wonderful :)

Jay, I heart the comedy channel, nothing like a good belly laugh.

Meredith, me too, he had a light of his own and he was not afraid to show it to the World.

Rosemary, you are so right, Terri is an amazing woman. Middle Child, I heart her so much, think of her every single day.
We celebrate nurses Day May 12th, my sons birthday. I am glad when I work on that day, it is nice to be honored even though we do not ask for it :)
