My baby is 4 today...

Woken up by Master Nicholas early this morning, with Mia trailing just behind him, "Mum, mum, it's Mia's birthday today, wake up, mum". Did I ever tell you I Don't Do Mornings??? Well, my right eye is twitching right now, I am soo tired. Never mind...

Mia and Nicholas ran off to the lounge room. I opened my eyes and closed them again, several times before the glazed fogg lifted from my corneas...and I could focus. A few minutes later the kids creep back into the room. I opened the blinds and revealed the brown box with lots of balloons on it, all with MIA on them. "It's my MIA"( Mia spells her name out to everyone all the time. When they ask what her name is she says "I am M.I.A spells Mia!").

She opens up the box and she sees her barn with horses and a little car and float to attatch, very cute. It has a small buttton to press making whinnying sounds too, very quiet and not annoying at all for us grown ups.

We gave her a bean bag too , a saddle club print on it. Now, I have to go people, am baking a vanilla cake that I will ice and sprinkle with strawberry jelly crystals topped with a unicorn candle just for my M.I.A. !!!

Oh, and here is a small taste of what is to come at the Air show this coming weekend. I took the kids to see a C130 Hercules doing some formation work and an FA 18 gracing the sky above. Hubby took these pics from the tarmac.
Addition to this post: Tonight we had a small party. Mia had the happy birthday song sung to her with her special vanilla cake.

Then we played pin the horn on the unicorn, that was a hoot for them. Next party we plan on maing our own piniata :) I want to be four again...don't you??

Cazzie, your child is sooo beautiful. Four is such a sweet age, they are still your baby before they start school. And those were good action shots of the Jets.
Happy BirthDay Mia...

hehe, my Niece in law's 6th was yesterday. I missed most of the screaming / crying / hysteria bit, but the downside was they'd eaten all the lollies by the time I got there. I didn't even get a take home bag... all the other kids did :(

I never go to Airshows as there are always seems to be crashes. I used to be a fast runner and a half decent rugby player, but I think I'd struggle to side-step a FA-18 hurtling towards me...
Hippo Bird-day!

FC&F, will do, I know how it is to be on call, being a casual worker and all.

Stace, ty very much, she has had a ball.

G-man, ty, I reckon she is gorgeous too :)

Trundling Grunt, yes, I reckon ot is a gr8 age also, I have many gr8 memories at this age myself, so I hope to make her 4th year memorable also.

GBOY, lol, I made sure every1 got lolly bags, even the big kids :)

Keshi, aww, ty for the best wishes lovey.

Bibi, why ty very much.

Surfercam, I know mate, it is never far from your mind at any time at an airshow, but we have such a great record here in Oz, ya know, and I love the adrenaline rush as a spectator, knowing how grand it feels from inside the cockpit too.

They are so KA-YUTE at that age!
My little girlie girls are 22 and 19 (sigh) what I would give to go back 16 years when they were my little Coco and Mishee Mish and I was the greatest Daddy in the Universe..EVER!!!

Pin the Horn on the Unicorn would make for some killer Haiku!

Have a wonderful day M I A!

You've made my daughter jealous, Caz.

M, the cake was a hit even with the big kids :)

Lucy, yes, I know, her hair is sooo white!!! Once, when Tomas was little, he was kidnapped for picture taking by a large group of Japanese people, they LOVED his hair :)

Jay Man, thanks matey, she had a ball of a time :)

Poody, ty love, how are you anyway?

Homo ESc, yeah, I know, I look at them and I know it is great they are becoming independant and all, but at the same time I miss their 8month to 10 month age group too..love that age.

Crabby and Jillie, why thanks girls :)

Farmwifetwo, yes, how fast indeed?

Betty, you are same as me, I will always make em a cake, and if they don't want it then I will just share it with their friends LOL.

Menchie, thanks and I agree with you there.

The Stormin Mormon, yes, they have the Roulette Team fly over and I think they had the FA 18's or an F111 fly over too. They also have a few bands and parties after the Grand Prix also.
This air show is mainly for trading Worldwide and showing off companies that have engineering and technology to present. It is on every 2 years, this is the 4th in a row we will have attended, and the only one where I am NOT breastfeeding or pregnant!!!
Word verifuckation, pmsl, I know, sometimes it is longer then the comment I leave on people's blogs!!!

Meredith, thanks love.

Beefcake, why is she jealous love?

She sounds like such a cutie. But I gotta ask. If you think its bad getting woken up by one very excited child...

what the hell do you do for Christmas?

Cazzie!!! said...

Phishez, Christmas, well, I wake up BEFORE the kids and wait for them in bed, I wait for them to come in and say, "Santa has been!"lol.
