If the shoe fits....

OK, so I was googling size conversion charts for boys' shoes yesterday as I wanted to purhase a pair of runners off of ebay for Master Tomas. The shoes were in European Sizing and I just wanted to make sure I would order the correct size for him. Then, I looked down a couple of linkages...and found this...I kid you not!!! It was just what I wanted to know, yeah riiighht!!! LOL.

I was also googling something else, I cannot recall what it was, and came up with this Online Magazine...Girl Power- Empowering Girls World wide. Not so sure about that. I must say though, what caught my eye on that home page was the book titled, "The Power of Nice"....as opposed to my favourite book, "The Power of Now"(Eckhardt Tolle). It appears, however, that the two books I mention here have very differing concepts. The girlie mag one is saying that being nice pays...you know, just be nice and you will find money, or it will find you. The Power of Now is all about discovery of self and finding your inner peace, which brings about a more harmonious life, in turn affecting others who let you in, in a positive manner.

If you are interested in Architecture then Walking Melbourne is the site to go to. Brought to my attention by Andrew, it captures what everyday people can see around Melbourne and shows the World what fine works the city has. Everyday houses to the House of Parliament with all its fine tile work and intricate lighting out front. Some people walk the road to work and never see the true beauty of what is around them. I drive in to work through North Melbourne and I always take in the lovely old houses with their wrought iron features and detailed paving out front. I once took pictures for someone of the 100 year old wrought iron outer encasement of a public loo...yes, you gotta believe it( lost on old PC harddrive). Above is an image the Victorian Arts Centre- home of the performing arts here in Melbourne. This is where I went to see many a ballet performance over the years. It is as wonderful to see inside the building as it is to see on the outer.
Enough from me, I am off for a quick nap and then to work this afternoon. Have fun being an armchair tourist of Melbourne... or for you boys out there, looking up your ummm...shoe size, hehehe!!!

I clicked on the link and asked Bat what size shoe he wears. He told me...then I told him what his penis size was. He just said "OK" like he knew that already. WTF? lol!!!

I enjoy driving through a town and observing the houses and structures. Makes life enjoyable when you take the time to see those things.

I make a point of looking up at least once a day - at a building, at the sky, at anything. Just to see, and to enjoy. Everybody walks around with their head down. How depressing.

That was a surprise and a laugh but it stops at 11. Actually, it is pretty accurate for me.

Great pic of the spire too

I remember a few years back I was all jazzed because I found a New Zealand All Blacks jersey in Hong Kong.

They're hard to come by in the states.

I looked at the tag and it said "XL"(extra large, duh) and I thought "Oh, this'll fit perfectly."

I put it on and I began to lose feeling in my hands. Hell, it looked like they greased me up and shot me out of a cannon to fit into it.

If I had the physique of a 12 year old girl, it might've fit.

hmmmm, if only i had the shoe converter years ago... and look at what perverts we all are..you have several links in your post, but i guarantee most people will only click the shoe link. :P

I love Melbourne city, just wandering about, there is something about south bank, buskers and enjoying a coffee on the banks of the Yarra...

Oh, No! The penis/shoe size conversion chart had me chuckling!
If only it were accurate...

It is interesting what parts of the post people choose to comment on, isn't it? Or is that just me? The size of a man's "shoe" has never been an issue for me, I guess.

On another note, I drive out of my way every day to pass a house that has the most beautiful picket fence and bright red roses.

Architecture, Shoe Sizing, and "Girl Power"...

This post is seriously all over the place!

The Chart - Hillarious and right for me.

The Architecture - The Rialto Towers look really cool. The tallest building in the southern hemisphere... It seems like an odd claim to fame, just because I couldn't think of a big number of major cities in the southern hemisphere that even have sky scrapers.

The Mag - Seems like every teenybopper magazine we have here in the states.

FC&F, pmsl, I am glad you both agree then :)

Willi, Yes, I agree, it makes for a lovely day, that for others, would be just..the usual!

Stace, Yes, people do walk about with their heads down, I notice that too. I wonder what they see, other than old chewing gum.

Jay, arm chair tourism at it's very best, from homegrown Melbournian's too. To answer your question, "Ain't that top secret?"LOL.

Keshi, Not sure on the Aussie front, ahahaha at 11+.

Andrew, glad you like the spire pic, I love to look at it. Am yet to get pics of Parliament there on Spring Street, I love the street lights they have out front there, I noticed when I was on a tram a few months ago what great architecture we have right there in the city. Too bad so many people are too busy to notice.

Lantern, your "no" vote has been registered, lol.

Painted sky, youre makin me laugh :)

Beefcake Almighty, yeah, XL in some of our nice little clothing shops are the same as that. MAde for very small people, or larger children :(

Meredith, :). Your words ring true my dear.

Aidan, love the buskers, the Sunday Market on Southbank and having a fine coffee, providing the Barrista knows how to make a lovely coffee. Yeah, that's our Melbourne.

Alicia, I am glad I made you chuckle :)

Gawilli, Yes, going out of your way everyday as I do when I go to work to see a pleasant sight makes the trip worth while. It also sooths the mind :) I am imagining that scene now.

Unfortunately being nice all the time doesn't pay, and one has to learn to be a biatch to survive, especially in the workforce.

Love the shoe / penis site :-)

It's funny how many times I go through my home town Sydney and am totally oblivious to it's wonderful sights. Melbourne directory, enjoyable.

Peppy. PMSL, same thoughts here now :)

Chickybabe, yes, I think we might need to tell our friend Steph(muchado)that...after having given her a cuddle first :)

Miss Natalie, yeah, I know, I am sooo gobsmacked everytime I see the Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Quay itself...the houses, the buildings everything there!!!

These flaccid statistics are about as accurate as the boob/brain ratio myths that women are saddled with. It is odd that so much emphasis is placed on size when let's face it, technique is the key to unocking Pandora's box and the nerve ending capacity of the receptacle is quite limited to the anterior region...I guess Mother Nature had to adapt to 'average' afterall.

That being said now that we have switched to metric most Canadian men are quite pleased with themselves.
Actually there is a 'printable/to scale' chart available out there if you have nothing to do on the Weekend.

I'd love to tour Melbourne. Not only do I have a lot of Bloggers to visit but one of my oldest friends moved there...someday.

PS what is up with your avatar my dear? Are you still on old blogger?

hey you know what Pee Wee Herman says? Big feet , big bootrs! What you thought I was gonna say what??

Cazzie!!! said...

HomoEsc, nope, am on new blogger love. Had trouble ever since, posting comments and the like. Sometimes pics aren't coming up either. Same old avatar of me taxiing my friend's aeroplane around the airfield.
BTW, who is Pandora mate? lol.I agree with the anterior region statement, it all lies in the way making love is performed...otherwise, how would it be that lesbians could pleasure each other so...and without..umm...sex toys(nuff said).
Tour of Melbourne, great, let us know when you do visit then, we can also take you places. We love to take people about and show off what is in our area :)

Poody, thought you were going to sayyyyy...ummm, I dunno, lol. Did you like the Melbourne site I put there? Shows our fine city to arm chair tourists from local people's cameras :)
