Monday Monday...

Now I have your attention with the remarkable site above, LOL, I can alert you to a site I found at random that has a 10second medical test for you to complete, it is fun and worth a visit, so go check it HERE. It made me laugh!!!
Yes, MANIC MONDAY it is today. After two days of 38degree celcius heat and no air conditioner installed as yet, it is a nice coolish kinda morning here. We had some rain, but not quite enough, so it is also humid now, but that's ok.
Sarah got to school today and ran straight into class, as usual, but I made a mistake. Because I could not see her go into class, she was too fast for me, I went into the hall to see she got to her locker ok, and she ran to me and didn't want to stay at school, not sure why, it just happened. Mia offered to go to school for the day for Sarah, how cute, they want to kill each other at home but when we are out, they protect each other.
I remember one day last year, the girls were playing at a park and a boy started to pick on Sarah. Mia went up to the kid and started to have a go at him, "Don't you pick on my sister Sarah..get lost!"The dad came over and started to go crook at her for saying that, I just said, "Hey, it is a cruel World out here mate, and if ya got kids ya need to lgihten up, this is their way of finding their place in the food chain..let them sort it out." It is so true you know.
Nick is being the mum for the next few weeks, so he informs me. He is going to load and unload the dishwasher and put out the cereal of a morning, what a sweetie he is. Tom spent the weekend with some Tongan friends of ours, they have offered to take him with them to Tonga this year, along with their two little kids. We shall see what prevails. Not sure I want my 10year old going along to Tonga without one of us there.
Gotta go run some errands now, have a great day, hope your weekend was great, and that today is not a Manic Monday for yáll.

* Addition at 8:41pm... I have been working out 30 mins a day and I feel really good now. I am not going to weight myself, just guage my progress by how my clothes fit me and how great I feel. I know 30min cardio daily will do the trick too :)

Not too manic over this way, least not yet.
I can't believe the temperatures that Melbs has been hitting. I would so not be able to handle that.

It's still Sunday night here!!! I'm sure it'll be crazy at the hospital on Monday. Enjoy the rest of your day. I'm going to bed now.

Love the picture--reminds me of boobs!

Oh man. That living without central air conditioning is rough. I couldn't stand it.

Hey Cazzie, not a Manic Monday in this corner of the world. I have the day off from work (celebrating Presidents Day). Kids have school though (go figure). I didn't work 3 days last week due to a pinched nerve, so tomorrow I will pay dearly. Today is wicked windy and cold, so I'm keeping warm inside, surfing and blogging and crafting .... whoooeeeeee. Enjoy.

Love the story about your girls at the park..it is true..and what is up with those parents who go there and let their kids do whatever they want?! Aarrggh!

So are you working out to Olivia Newton John's video of Physical?
Good for you keep it up!

I'd happily send you some snow :) July will come soon enough and it'll be in the 30's here too. We don't have central air either.

With the boys home this mth work-out went to zero and walking with the cold... nada either.

I have hopes starting tomorrow. Both boys are back in school and the weather is suppose to be 0C - with rain of course - lol :)

kids are a trip. when it comes down to it.. their defensive mode sets in and they stand up for what they think is right. its great when i see it happen... although rare these days of helmets and pads and "everything's too dangerous"

Kids are cute...
Except MY kid.
He's in big trouble right now...
Just got into his very first fist fight.
He's only 5 years old.
I WILL NOT be raising the neighborhood bully...

Right people, I entered responses to all your 12 chinwags and the new blogger seems to have either lost it or just wouldn’t load it..Grrrr. I may never have another funny or witty response, none like the ones I entered before anyway J

Stef, yeah, I remember back in the days of the 1980’s when we had spells of over 35 degrees centigrade for over a one to two week period, we haven’t had that yet, but it may just come.
FC&F, Mondays and Fridays seem to be the busiest at work, I know for Radiologists this is also true. LOL, The pic IS of boobs, a sculpture from New York..no less (winks).
Beefcake Almighty, yes, time to irradiate people, make ‘em glow in the dark, have that special glow at the disco tonight, LOL..at least that’s what I tell my patients on the way to xray, CT or MRI.
Jay Man, Yeah, and being teased by lookin at the box as it was sitting there with the new split in it is rough too mat L
Sam, take it easy, make sure you relax and spend some time in a quiet place to relieve that pinched nerve. Your crafts have been outstanding BTW.
Bibi, true, talking doesn’t count, gotta Just Do It!!! Now, where’d I hear that? LOL
Poody, good for you, make sure you do it lady, I’m counting on you now J
Homo Escapeons, I know, we always want what we haven’t got weather wise.
Parents who don’t pull their kids up from a young age will regret it later on. My kids get pulled up by my mum (not my real mum) and they still love her, gotta set the boundaries, makes them more responsible later on in life.
The DVD I work out to is Bob Harper from the first season of Biggest Looser in the USA. You can tailor your workout to suit you. Cardio both high and low intensity and boot camp, which I am working towards. I won’t watch the show, can’t stand it…but I like this dvd. Olivia, sounds like a gr8 idea, might, “Get Physical” with it…and it cannot hurt to aspire towards wearing headbands , lycra and them legwarmers she wears in it either LOL.
Farmwifetwo, Yes, it is hard to do the workout when kids are under foot. I have just pulled rank here last night and said I am doing this every night after they had their tea, done their homework and watched Simpsons at 6pm. No holes bared, taking no prisoners, they ain’t gunna stop me now J
Whatta, yes, wrapping them in cotton wool doesn’t help them does it? But, I have to agree with helmet wearing, I have seen enough damage in my line of work with people not wearing them and ending up in emergency dept. I get what you’re saying though, they need to get out and play ..to play is to learn.
Alicia, Good for you, pull your rank and let him know it, the anti bullying rule stands ground here in this house too.
Steven, So true, and in this humidity and stickyness, it is quite Yukk :(
Keshi, glad I made you laugh, wish we could send voice mail of laughing to each other, I reckon your laugh would be awsome :)

Wise about not "weighting ( ha) yourself...if god had meant us to be weighed he'd have put a set of scales on each foot...

its artifical and leads to obsession, to dissappointment and for people who have or end up with eating disorders...if becomes the obsession... numbers rather than health.
