My bunch..

This was a pic from last school hollidays, soon enough we will have Christmas hollidays and I cannot wait for that!! They all love going to the beach house at Rye down the Mornington Peninsula and so do I. When our friend is not renting his lovely place out to people we get to go stay there. We feel so lucky for this. It is only 5 minutes from the Rye Pier and not far from other nice attractions. That there is a squid we caught from teh pier at Rye, yummy Calamari :)
My kids can drive me mental sometimes but they are growing up so fast, especialy Mia the baby.."I am NOT a baby!" she says to me..this I know only too well. Only yesterday did she get into my brown eyeshadow and put it all over her eyes..she looked like a racoon, HA!

Not long before I get to kick them out the door and have a life of my own...yeah right!!

My 6 year old was playing her makeup the other day and came out to show me. I was all prepared for the whole clown school wanna-be look but she did a very nice job. It was one of those moments when you realize they won't be little forever....

"Not long before I get to kick them out the door...." In what decade do you envision this happening? I think you have a surprise waiting for you. LOL

Ohhh my future parents-out-law live in Rye, it's such a beautiful area. I wish I had the time to get down there more often. I'm jealous!

Your bunch is beautiful. The squid is fascinating, but I will pass on the Calamari.

Andy B..my digi cam needs a fixin..or I woulda definitely taken pics..will have another opportunity at some point guaranteed..Mia got into my black mascara the other week..thought it was LIPSTICK!

Mrs Coach...that is such a turning point. I am sure I will come to one soon with my girls too..a nice reminder too.

Jay, you just gotta watch out for the ink they let go on you..gotta point them a certain way..not in your direction!

Cheers TC, I love to see pics of your kids also...nice to see people from around the globe :)

Betty, yes, I do hear you there..I see it with some of my friends' adult children, they don't wanna leave the pad.

Stace, I know, I feel so privvy to be able to go there with the kids, they do love it so. especialy the Drive In Cinemas at Dromana too.

MJD, thanks. Yes, calamari is an acquired taste. It has to be cooked at the right temp and not for too long..or it goes like rubber bands!

What a beautiful family you have. It will be awhile before you have a life of your own again...and that's ok! I know you really wouldn't want it any other way, right?

Cute kids, but you should see if the doc can perform a tentacle-ectomy on that one in the bottom photo. It would do wonders for his self-esteem, I bet!
