We just had Chicken Tandoori for dinner with Greek salad and some spuds. It is the only thing I love about the weather getting cooler here in Melbourne..the smell of warm food cooking. I won't sook out about the cooler weather, it is nothing in comparison to what our German Au Pair has had to endure when she flew home late last year.
Today the kids started back at school for Term Two. Hubby dropped them at school and I got stuck into the house. I vacuumed from front to back, including the wet areas. Cleaned both bathrooms and toilets. Sorted out clothes and put them all away.
When I do my housekeeping duties, I turn up the volume on the radio, and I always burn some incense. So now, the house smells great and looks great. Let's see how long the looking great lasts :)

I have to admit, I actually don't mind cooking as much in winter. We always have a pot of soup going on the stove for hungry people. It was pretty cold here last night and even had frost on the grass the day before.

I am kind of looking forward to the colder weather and having the fire on. Nothing beats curling up in front of a warm fire. :-)

Hugs xoxox
PS. Your story about the duck had me laughing as yesterday I was telling a very similar one to Zak when he asked for one to keep. Except ours was rehomed to a Japanese Garden. They are cute but very messy!

Ugh, housework... I need to get a lot of that done this week. The house needs to look presentable because we've got a couple of people coming over in the next couple of weeks. hehe

Housework with good music can be a very therapeutic thing. My kids are grown and gone so the house stays clean for longer periods of time.

Karisma, a fire would be nice in the Winter, If we had a fireplace that is!
Haha about the ducks :)

Stace, yeah, can't have a palace when we have kids, but we can have a place that looks lived in right :)
