Turn Back Time

I was very very lucky to have scored some complimentary tickets to see George Michael perform at Etihad Stadium last night. Hubby is there at the moment dismantling the setting.
George Michael can still perform very well, his voice was fab and his trademark "shimmy that ass" was A1! haha.
We danced and sang and had a great time. Only one disappointment was when he called Melbourne Sydney three times. Someone jerried him to that fact a bit later and he was most apologetic. I do not blame him in a way, Sydney is awesome...but Melbourne is too right?
Yep, nothing like a night of 80's music, live! Nothing compares to 47,000 people singing the song Freedom!

I think I would have enjoyed seeing him. Freedom would have been great. I heard he did not sing Wake me up before you go go. It is a bit dated for sure. I last bought a cd three years ago and it was his. You reckon he may have ended up at The Peel afterwards?

  2. Hahaha Andrew, I am not sure if he did end up at the Peel, but I could definately ask some friends about that as they were going on clubbing afterwards, dressed in style :)
Wake me up before you go go, my friends and I spoke about that, we thought he may not sing it and so we were not so dissapoined when he did not.

  7. Sounds like great fun. It must be more than 30 years since I've been to a live concert like that.

  10. Jayne, fab it was :)

Mom, yeah thank goodness it was not last night, because we had this mini hurricane going on in Melbourne..we would all have gotten damaged or even killed by the hail stones.

Karisma, haha, I love Darling Harbour, the Quay and Oxford St.

Stace..no way! I heart you! I can't check it here from work as FB is blocked...even if I am on my break :) Will rectify problems as soon as I get home honey.

Ginnie, live concerts are amazing. My favourite to date has been the Andre Rieu concert from last year.

Rosemary, easy on the eyes. you got that right.

Lucy, he sure does have alot of fun, and Wham sure were great.
