It was a hot day and the sky was clear, all but a few white plumes of cloud at midday. Then, as I looked around us from a friend's farm in Little River, I spied clouds gathering, looking fierce. Thunder and lightening came, the clouds surrounded us and then they formed an almighty storm. The storm left us and went towards the city, the image above reflects the size of the hail stones that blanketed the city. The stones damaged the very stadium that I went to see George Michael perform in a few days ago.
On my way into work, 5.5hrs after the storm, there were still residual hail stones on the side of the road. Cars were floating down a street to my left..luckily our 4wd got me to work through the flooded streets in Nth Melbourne.
Amazing, from a 30 degree celcius day.... to this!
