Gorgeous Winter's Day at Werribee South Beach..

Today I took the kids to the beach to have a play and to get out in the fresh air. It was 18 degrees celcius for most of the day and the sun shone down just nice from an otherwise blue sky. There were plenty of boats going out from the boat ramp and reports are there were plenty of fish biting out there in the Bay.

There were lots of families at the park with their kids and Nick got to play soccer and rugby with people who were complete strangers to begin with. See what can happen when you venture out to the beach and the park..you make friends and you have fun! When we were kids we used to create our own fun. Well, today, my kids did that too. They rolled down the hills, built sandcastles and birthday cakes with shell candles on them.....all the fun things! Bondi even had a ball too, barking at all the seaguls :)

Looky, we even sighted a starfish!

Sounds like a lovely day! Aidan and I walked from our home into the city of Canberra today, it was warm enough when we started out but we were getting rained on slightly by the time we got home!

Looks like a great day was had by all! I love getting the kids out into the fresh air! How lucky to find a star fish too! I am going absolutely nuts up this way, it just will not stop raining! Last year at this time we were flooded in, but it least it only rained for three days! I miss the sun and the beach!

Stace, good to hear you both went walking, it certainly is a great way to get familiar with your new home town.

Mom, It sure is amazing we get to hear what weather is like all around the globe from our blogger mates!

Karisma, wow, rain, what is rain? It would drive you nuts having so much, only if we could share it? Time to wear wet weather gear and go play in the mud..mud cakes anyone?

I can tell you Caz you are creating for your kids a wonderful set of memoroies for them to tell their own kids about - much as you did re your nana (who's teeth you tried on) The gifts you are giving them are priceless and thank God you are aware of and are enjoying their childhood rather than like too many wishing they were doing something else.
