Christmas Day..

Christmas Eve Santa gives lollies to the kids.
Tom, Sarah, Mia, with their Aunt collecting lollies

Yayyy and PHEW...Christmas is over, haha. Such a build up every year and then WHOOFFF..it is over in.. well....24 hours right? It was a great morning, I woke before the kids at about 5:30am and well, then I fell right back asleep again...to be woken up at 9a.m.by the sounds of " Ohhhh look what I got from Santa!" The kids had a lovely time and we drove up to my Aunts just out of Kyneton and had an Aussie Bush Christmas.
My Auntie set up the table marvellously and we took up some Webber roasted Chooks and some Pavlova and some creation I made out of Chocolate Royal Biscuits with some raspberries on top...DELISH!!
In all, about 25 or so of us had a ball with cracking bon-bons, telling the awfully bad jokes from within them and donning the paper hats.
I got PINK on DVD and some other awesome gifts..but the best gift of all was the laughter of the kids and the smiles we had watching them enjoy the day with their cousins.
We went to Vaughan Springs in the afternoon and went down the slide and waded in the cool waters of the lake there. The kids then paddled around in a canoe on my cousins awesome damn and we listened to the call of some strange birds I could not name. There was a mob of Kangaroos grazing in the fading light, at least 40 of them for sure.
We came home today, Boxing Day. I was sad to leave the Bush, I always wish I lived up there. Maybe one day we will.
I hope everyone had a great time, and stay safe each and every day. When I find my connector I will upload pics of the day we had :)

I have such a hard time believing it's Christmas without seeing snow, but I'm awfully glad you all had a good one.

Merry, merry Christmas Cazzie (doesn't matter I'm a wee bit late, does it?), and all my best to you and yours in 2008!

Jadey, they sure can make it. My 4 and my cousins 5 kids and my aunt's 6 kids made it all that more wonderful for sure.

Andrew, it was great and I know, we do think so compliated some times when we could have it so much simpler. MY Aunt just gets each of us to bring a plate, she decorates and does the pudding and then we all just serve ourselves. Everyone helps to clean and then we go to the damn/lake for a canoe and a drink (of our fav poison of course, not the damn water,LOL).

Jay, that's the one Jay, all fun and games :)

Butterfly, thans so much and I hope your NY 2008 is a wonderful one also.

Jayne, it sure was :)

Poody, sme to you and yours, have a safe NY 2008.

Rosemary, the kids sure to make it so magical, even if they get tired and crappy mods, LOL.

Jay, yes, no snow must look weird to people who get it every Christmas time..but we are used to a bush/surf Christmas here ..it is all we know :)
It makes me laugh when we sing the White Christmas songs when we don;t have one :)

EC, mwah, thanks for visiting again, and reciprocate those sentiments mate :)

Glad you and the kids had such a great Christmas. It does end way too fast for my tastes though, but I'm already busy getting ready for next year. ;)

What lovely little blondies your kids are... and such big smiles and enthusiasm...caz you must be mum of the year ...in my books at least.

Somehow you have incorporated some of the more old fashioned ways into their upbringing and still manage to have real good fun a the same time
