I spent all day in hospital yesterday in the Emergency Department. Not a stranger to hospital or having been a patient before but this time was different to the other times. This time I thought it was my heart. History of this in my family etc etc...and feeling that if I didn't get it looked at then I would be very silly...you know, being a nurse and all.
Luckily everything is okay cardiac wise. CK and Troponin levels all ok.
I have spend a good part of today meditating...and also, because it is so lovely in the sun outside, I have been out in the garden too. I might not post for a few days now as I need to get back on top of this thing..whatever it is. Take care..and just playanother of my favourite songs if you want to :)

Cazzie, hope all is well :)
Well glad that you're ok. Take care of you.
Take care Cazzie, and keep those positive thoughts :).
Hope you're feeling better soon.
S.
Take care Cazzie. I hope you will be better soon.
Feel better and I'm glad your heart is ok.
Goodness .. take care and stay on top of this!
Glad to hear it was nothing. I had a heart scare a while back... Turned out to be a spontaneous neumothorax, which kept me in the hospital for a week (even though I got better almost immediately after I was admitted).
Hospitals are so depressing. I still want to be a surgeon though.
It's always best to check these things out. Hope you feel better soon.
Did you get a chest xray? I'm glad everything checked out normal. Feel better soon.
I am so sorry you've been ill.
Sending you much love & sunshine!
Remember:
"Tis always better to get paid for being in the ER."
So at least clock in next time!
Glad you had sense to get that heart checked. You do sound like a good hearted woman to me.
Caz I really hope ur ok hun. HUGGGGGGGGGZ! Sending u lots of angel blessings. TC of ur sweet self!
Keshi.
Gosh Cazzie, what a fright. Take care x
What happened? Was it extreme heartburn? Mu mum develloped Cardiomyopathy mid 40's...didn't drink or smoke, but in 1966 both of us spent a summer side by side in a country hospital ward...with viral pneumonia...
this was what caused her Cardiomyopathy at such a oyun age (she was little) so every time I get a sore chest, with sore arm and numbness I freak out...sometimes a Rennies helps as its only heartburn. I fugure this out by having a glass of water. if it eases after this I know its tummy based...if not ...
Geez Cazzie - I thought nurses were immune to health problems! Kidding, of course. I'm glad you got things checked out. I do hope you'll be OK and will get it all figured out. In the meantime, I (and I'm sure we) will miss you.
Cazzie, take care of yourself. My gosh! I'm glad you had everything looked at and came out ok. You can't be too careful. Not when it comes to your health.
Did it fel like an attack? My mom went to the hospital once when she thought she was having an attack, as the symptoms were the classic heart attack symptoms. It turned out to be some kind of ulcer that mimics hart attacks. I'd never heard of that before, but then again I'm not a doctor. I hope you're doing better.
I'm glad the immediate scare is over...hopefully they figure out what is going on with you really soon. Take care of yourself girl!
Cazzie,
Jeez Girl,
Your my Favorite Aussi!!
You better take care sweetie..xoxox
I'm glad you are ok and the rest does you good.
Keep us posted!
Cazzie, I'm so very happy to hear that there is no problem with your heart. Meditation is a wonderful thing, calms the mind.
Enjoy your time away. Hugs.
My family has a history of cardiac imperfections too..dammit! I am glad that you had your ticker checked out..doesn't hurt to check.
A few years ago I was enduring a very stressful period and I went for the old stress test. I felt like I was in the olympics I was sooo nervous that they might find an irregularity. Nada. Just stress.
To combat the stress I figured out how to desensitize myself to the plight of the world. I rant on my Blog or visit cool people like you and forget about my predicament.
We can't completely control what Life throws at us but we can learn to deal with it with a positive, realistic attitude...even though 'magical' thinking is THE best way to cope with crap, apparently living in an altered state of reality is hard on the people around you. So I decided to put my Napolean Hat back in the closet for the time being.
Find our happy place and stay there!
I just wanted to thank everyone sovery much for your concern and best wishes. It has blown me away how many people care. As Homo Esc said, "Apparently living in an altered state of reality is hard on the people around you." This is sure to be true. It was not myself living in an altered state, it was someone else, who in turn had an affect on everyone else around them. If you cannot be yourself, and you try to be many different people, then who is it you are kidding?
Anyhow, now that they have decided to leave life is good, and as the song says, "I can see clearly now the rain has gone...".
Picking up my book The Power of Now has been such a great help. I can turn to any page and it seems to be the right page for that moment in time. Living in the Now and focusing on what is important is the thing to do. Not so much ignoring the past but learning from it is also the thing to do.
I owe everyone a history post I think..and I will oblige you all this during the week. Have a safe weekend :)
I'm glad to hear that you are OK. You're to cool to fall severely ill. And the little ones...
I'm gonna cry if I keep going. Glad you are well. Take care, Caz!
Glad to hear you're O.K. but please take good care of yourself, you mean a LOT to a lot of people...
Glad to hear you're OK.
Oh, what a scare. Sounds like you are setting some priorities. Take care.
look after your self Cazzie...
It's funny nurses are alway the worst patients!
Hope you are feeling better
Aidan
Ditto everyone else in that I'm so glad you're OK Cazzie. You take care, huh? :)
