Some Jokes...

A friend of mine from Warnambool sends me jokes in the mail from his local Publican. Here are some funny ones...

An elderly couple is attending a church service. About half way through the lady leans over and says to her husband, "I just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?" He replies, "Turn your hearing aid up!"

My mind works like lightening, one brilliant flash and it is gone!

The only time the World beats a path to your door is when you are using the bathroom! (Or in my case as a Mum, it is whenever I try to do something by my own self!)

Definition of a teenager.... God's punishment for enjoying a moment of pleasure!

Whatever you give a woman, she will multiply....
If yu give her sperm, she will give you a baby....
If you give her a house, she will give you a home....
If you give her groceries, she will make you a meal....
If you give her a smile, she will give you her heart....
But if you give her crap, you will receive a bucket full of sh*#!

School Concert October 2008

Mia played a salmon again on stage for her school concert, she did so very well too. They sang Feather, Fur or Fins.

Sarah sang ABBA's song "Mamma Mia" on stage... she is 4th from the left, singing. It was a well rehearsed performance, it made me very proud. Nicholas is standing up thereon stage as they perform to a Mickey Mouse type routine. I loved the choreography of the dance routine. The kids really did their very best.
Tomas could not be photographed because he was in camouflage as a props specialist, yes, he wore all black! His class performance was a story about a girl who lost her hat, a magical hat. The thought that went into the script and everything was fabulous. I just love seeing this sort of stuff. All the children were excited and really pumped having been involved in something so big!

Jokes...Clean, then not-so-clean...

Three nurses died and went to the Pearly Gates. St. Peter asked the first one, "What did you do on Earth that would deserve getting in here? The first nurse replied, "I was an intensive care nurse and I saved hundreds of lives." "Welcome," said St. Peter, "come right in. And what did you do?" he asked the second one. The second nurse replied, "I was an emergency room nurse and I saved hundreds of lives." "Welcome," said St. Peter, "come right in. And what did you do?" he asked the third one. The third nurse replied, "I was a managed care nurse and I saved the insurance companies hundreds of thousands of dollars." "Welcome," said St. Peter, "come right in...but only for three days."

**************************************************************************************

A very tired nurse walks into a bank, Totally exhausted after an 18-hour shift.Preparing to write a check, She pulls a rectal thermometer out of her purse And tries to write with it.When she realises her mistake, She looks at the flabbergasted teller, And without missing a beat, she says
“Well, that’s great….that’s just great….
Some asshole’s got my pen!”

Well there you go, I had more but this blog just isn't the place for them :)
Tom's arm is well on the mend, one more check up appointment and we are all but done.
The kids all have concerts coming up with school, watch this space for pics.
I have been riding my bike through the wind and the rain and the nice weather too. I am feeling really good, and I can't wait to get some nice pics done and share them here with you all.

Spring Racing Carnival is on in Melbourne and our Melbourne Cup horse race is almost here for another year. I love the fashions and the hair do's on the girls, I have been seeing them when travelling to work.

Google..

The Middle Finger.. just lovely, but it was not exactly what I was looking for.
Spring has sprung, School Term 4 is back in, and I am back on my bike.
With Spring comes a certain thing I hate, swooping Magpie Birds!! So, to combat this I have put two eyes on the back of my Bicycle helmet...let's hope it works...I am so OVER those Magpie's attacking me...... maybe I could give them the finger? LOL

Snail Mad!!

Mia loves her snail. No! This one is not hers, yet we found this image of a snail named...John on google! John the snail, lol She named her snail Sammy and I am happy to report that Sammy the snail is still alive and well after 15 days in captivity!

This is "FANG", Mia's pet carnivorous plant. Inspired to purchase one of these plants from the new movie "Journey to the centre of the Earth". Well, these little suckers do not eat people like the ones in the movie try to do, and they are a little-bit-smaller than the ones in the flick also.
We watched it devour a fly last night. The little hairs inside the plant are touched by the fly, triggering an automatic response of the plant to close over the poor creature that enters. The plant will remain closed for a few days while the fly is digested, and will re open, hopefully to devour an unwanted mosquito next time!

Today when I went shopping I did see something that made me say "Oh no, not again!" Yes, that's right, Christmas is around the corner and Safeway Supermarkets will not let us forget this fact as they have already got half an aisle dedicated to Christmas decorations and the like... gah! It has got to be confusing for kids, it is for me!

Scienceworks..

Do Pulleys have the power to lift you off the ground??.....

Why yes...they sure do!!

Engines, pulleys, gears and levers, all at work..at Scienceworks.....

A lovely day outside too...of course, the kids loved it!

Nicholas rock climbing. I was told I had to take a picture...well, no need to ask me twice!

We also went into the Planetarium, which was so awesome. I love looking at the stars at night. On a hot night, after I have put some Mosquito Repellent on my skin..I like to lay there on the trampoline and look up at the night sky. There must be zero, or next to zero, cloud cover too.

Tomas gets the K-Wire removed this coming Monday. Thank the Gummy Mary when it is out he reckons!

Monday is when school Term 4 begins...yayyyy... and also, Daylight savings...clocks forward by an hour and all that jazz. I reckon it is done to confuse the cows on their milking time...yeah, right!

Will be around a little more often when school routine falls back into place...
