Yes we had fun, but we won't go back.... more to see at the real country shows up in the Wimmera or down Gippsland me thinks.

School Break..

Yayy for the teachers, they get a break! Poor parents, they don't get one! Haha, oh well, I love the break..sometimes. Other times they drive me mad!!! Only because I have been working mornings.... yeah, I Don't Do Mornings right!
Well, Tom has missed out on the rides at Luna Park , he went to a party there for his mates' 12th birthday. His arm is still in a half plaster with the K-Wire in it. We got to fracture clinic again for more xrays and to check the position of the K-wire then. If all goes well it will be removed in a few weeks and the full plaster put on.
The Royal Melbourne Show is also on and this week is also an impotant week, for some, as it is the lead up to our AFL Grandfinal. The Tigers did not make it this year..perhaps next year? Who knows what is in store in the future?
If you recall, old time readers, I took the herd to the Show last year, it was fabulous. Apart from having to take out a small loan to even pay admittance this year, and 14 dollars a car for parking (I seen the signs when I drove into work yesterday morning), I am not sure if we ought to go this year...in protest. Well, Science Works beckons us I reckon :)

Mia is a star..or a fish?

Mia performed on stage with her class last week. She realy did have a great time. for the record, she was a salmon fish :)
They sang a song called "Feathers Fur or fins". It was so cute and they tried really hard too.

Breakages..

When I was a kid I broke both of my arms, at different times. The right one was broken when I was pushed on roller skates and the left one when my boyfriend bunked me up over his horse and over the other side (I can hear you laughing you know!).
On the weekend we had our first child break a bone. Tomas was playing football and another kid kicked the ball over the back yard fence. Tomas climbed the timber fence, his leg of his denim jeans got caught on a paling and he fell, breaking the fall with his right arm. He managed to break his forearm in such a way that it needed to be operated on. Tomas will now set off security alarms at shops and airports! Just kidding.
It has been a tough time with many more appointments and procedures to follow. The K-Wire has to be removed in a few weeks time.
The worst part of it is Tom is right handed. As I said to him, I learned to do lots of things with my left hand when I broke my right arm, which kind of makes us special :)

My boy Nick has gone on school camp this week, I wish it was Summertime camping, the cold nights..brrr! He does have a sub zero sleeping bag to sleep in so I am sure he will be nice and toasty warm in it.

I AM taking my camera with me tomorrow on my ride, be prepared for nice images :)
