Christmas Joy....
Christmas Eve was spent here at home with my friend Pat and the kids, all watching some of the Carols and just chatting away. Hubby worked the night shift so things were low key. As soon as they were all in bed, Pat and I got the biggifts out of her 4WD and put them in my room. I then put them out near the tree in the lounge at about 1a.m. Sarah got her cute set of drawers that I decorated with fairy and Princess stickers and a white roiund mirror to match it. A fairy costume, more like a flower girl's dress that is rose pink with tuille skirt and a crown with flashing lights..and a book of horses too. Mia got a small vanity table with lights and stickers on it and a hairbrush and a princess dress, pink with glittery silver stars on it, and a tiara too..oh, and a book about mermaids. Nick got Magnetix to play with, a toy gun, books and clothes. Tomas got the Mythbusters book and DVD set, x2 xbox games and some clothes. I got my hubby some flowers on Christmas Eve and that's it.
Christmas Day was great, we went to my Aunts, an hours drive from here. Spent the day talking, eating fine food and watching the kids ride the motorbike around my Aunt's 25acres of land. Hubby had to work so my Pa dropped him at the Castlemaine Train Station in the mid afternoon, the v-line train got him to work on time.
I stayed on with the kids at my Aunt's. The kids had an early night and on Boxing day we went to Kyneton to visit my nan's grave. Mia said, "but mum, why do you want to go here, you can't SEE her..she's in heaven"..well, sorry, but it took a 3 yr old to almost say you must be dumb!! LOL
Then we went to Vaughan Springs, 15 minutes from my Aunt's place. A public park cerated in 1878It was not surprising to see that the water levels were alarmingly low right now as we are in drought. There is an amazing slide there that takes up the whole side of a hill. The kids just love going down it sitting on a towel or piece of cardboard. Even the big kids like it too, and YES, I went down it twice, almost wetting myself too..well, forgive me, but I did give birth to 4 kids in 8years :) It is much steeper than it looks in pictures, in real life too.
We sampled some of the mineral water that you can pump out into containers too. With the drought the minerals are very strong flavoured right now. Good for those people who need a bunk up in levels of iron I daresay.
The kids tried to get out an old train set they have there that used to run on a small circular track. Not sure what's up with that, maybe they need funding to get it going or maintain it. It was in pieces in the shed.
Today I got up early to pick up hubby from the Malmsbury train station, although not nearly as early as he got up to catch the v-line train to us. Now we are home and all tired, ready for a long hot bath and a good sleep..wish I was a dog or a cat, I reckon we'd have it made at Christmas time then :)

Long time no blog entry...
Long time no blog..Sorry it has been so long, my PC died and now I am back, but, I have been getting a migraine behind one eye so I will, alas, only blog of short.
They kids are officialy feral..as their school year is now over. Tomas and Nicholas did very very well this year at school. Sarah goes to Primary School next year, very exciting it is. Mia will be a kinder girl too.
I have been taking them around the place on nice nights to see Christmas houses light up. Some people even give out lolies, candy canes, that's real special :)
All the gifts are wrapped and things are going ok thus far. Being subjected to family you would rather bite your own arm off than sit at the table with them is NOT happening this year. Yayy!!!We are going up the bush to my Aunt's for a marvellous Christmas with lovely family and my kids will have their cousins's to play with too. We will mull around and just watch the kids have fun with their toys.
Andrew has to work so will be taking the train to town from the bush to work the graveyard shift. I used to always work Christmas and New Years so I know how it feels to be going into work, someone's gotta do it hey?
Santa is taking time out to come around on back of the Fire Truck tomorrow which is Christmas eve, the kids are excited to be getting a glimpse of him and some lollies too of course. Some areas will not see this event due to the bush fires having some of the units in use.
We are looking forward to watching the RVIB Christmas Eve Carols By Candlelight tomorrow night. Our little cousin is the face of the Carols this year, it is exciting for the family.
Over and out for now.

Mid week grind...
Not really a grind as such, just keeping up appearances :)
Tonight was Sarah's Kindergarten Presentation night, it turned out to be a great event. The kids got to come out in their Mortar and Cape set, unbeknown to us parents. It reminded me of when I graduated in me Degree in Health Sciences- Nursing in the early 1990's. Will publish pics later on.
Melbourne has been covered in smoke, all very thick from the Bush fires surrounding the State of Victoria. I have made sure I take my Ventolin puffer everywhere just in case of an attack. I feel for the men and women fire fighters and the people out there living in the bush zone. Dry as a bone at the moment.

Busy Time For Everyone..

It has been such a busy time of late I am sorry I have not posted. Catching up on all things Merry and with something on every day of the week next week my head is spinning. My birthday is Monday (21 again of course), Tuesday is Sarah at creche and Tom to the dentist, Wednesday is Sarah's Kindergarten Graduation, Thursday Tom has an excursion(donating a gift to the needy with the Target Wishing Tree), aswell as Friday he gets to go to the movies with School to see Santa Claus 3. Then that night we have the Creche Christmas Party at a play centre..God Bless Paracetamol for that night.
Tonight if they are all behaved I will take them to the Carols By Candlelight (which will actually be glow sticks not candles..safety reasons for that one of course).
Have a good weekend and I hope you all stay safe and Merry.

Christmas Party Fun....
Tom, Nick, Sarah and Mia....

Tall Fairy Godmother..so she stated, a bit big to put on top of our Christmas tree.... so my girls told her. Sarah is there having a pony ride wearing her cute dress (next year they will all be wearing shorts or jeans.
Nick lined up for 30 minutes to get a ride on one of these babies..a Harley Davidson if you will..outta sight man!!!
Tomas had a twirler of a time on this bungey jumping trampoline, lined up for 40 minutes, worth the wait he said. Sarah got painted up as a Dalmation, very cute indeed. Tom was a vampire.
Here is Mia with the Queen Butterfly, painted herself as a butterfly also. Just magical.
We all had a 2 course lunch, followed by an icecream and drink of cola. Fairy floss was given out all day to, blue/pink colors.
Then came the visit to santa. The boys got a computer hand held game and an Air Football game. The girls got an art set and a remote control car. We were all so stoked about the event.
Roving entertainers dressed as present boxes, butterflys, snow men, santas girlie helpers, fairies, pixies/elves, men on stilts (who shook the hands of the kids as they went around on the Ferris Wheel. There were the AFL Tiger's football players, tap dancers, a Kangaroo's Christmas Story, Blinky Bill the Koala, a giant slide, a giant jumping castle, swing merry-go-round, Car merry-go-round, painting, woodworking, face painting, horse rides, Thomas the Tank Engine Ride, and mini golf.
We managed to loose Nick for about 30minutes...when we found him he had a story to tell. HE went to get fairy floss first, then he decided to go on the long ride of Thomas the Tank Engine, then he came back and played a round of mini-golf. It took three full searches of the place to locate him there!!! What a relief to find him.
This morning, the morning after...they are all so buggered :) Took alot of getting going to school and stuff. Their poor dad had to work at 5:30am though, am guessing someone will have a very early night tonight..maybe all of us in fact.
