Happenings....

This is what I am doing to make a difference in my life for ME. I was not going to announce it but here you have it. I am so pumped that I am going to make a difference to myself and nip the ever threatening Angina and Heart Disease that is in my familial history in the BUTTT!!!!
My kids will have a thinner mum by Christmas that, although I don't think they're embarrased to be around me at the beach, they will notice a change for the better. Gotta lead by example as it is their familial history here too.
I don't ever crave for sweets but I do love my savoury. The lovely little Greek lady at the Vic Market gives me them little salami "Twiggies" to munch on for nothin' when I buy ham and fetta and sundried tomatoes from her. Well, it has stopped. I got ham and said, "Please, no twiggies, I am giving a present and my kids a present. I am going to be thinner. That means they have me for a longer life without diabetes and bad heart"...."Ahhh", she said. " I see, you a good girl!" She smiled at me and shook her head. Lovely lady she is.

Meanwhile, I was reading and googling away and I found this. NO!!!! I did not intentionaly google it BTW!!! I am not so sure how I came across it at all, just did. Anyhoo, it is fun reading :)

A Groovy Kinda Day...

Today I went to our local shops just to get some Wool Wash to begin the task of cleaning teh lounge room carpet as it is just....awful!!! The girls and I did, however, find ourselves in the lovely little shop called Pumpkin Patch.
I got Mia a T-shirt with a horse on it. Sarah got the cool outfit you see there in the pic. Tom said she was way cool in the army pants, I have to agree with him there.
They have lovely dresses and shorts and way cool clothes for boys too. I find it hard to get nice boys clothes sometimes, and this shop has it all. Guess where I will be in the next week or so when my tax return comes in? Youbetcha mate!!!
On the home front, half the lounge room floor is looking awesome I have to say. I have more work to do there but I will wait for the rugrats to go to bed. It is a great workout which fits in well with my newfound diet I am on.

Weekend Ramblings....

Here is a picture of the steam train going to Geelong about Midday today, young Tomas took the picture whilst travelling just over 100km per hour beside it in our carThe hutch made for Mia and Sarah's baby Guinea Pigs "Lani and Tung-Tung".

Googly eyes Mia, trying to impress her whole family over dinner last week.

I worked last night and got home around 10pm and got up again at 5:30am today to return to work. I went to the Vic Market to get some groceries and caught the stall holders just prior to closing time..phew!!! Andrew took the kids to Little River to run rampant on a farmlett and that's when they seen the steam train pictured, great pics don't you agree?

This week will be a busy one. Tomas goes on his first school camp to Phillip Island. Don't go saying to me that I will have a rest from at least one of the kids coz of this camp now...Nicholas goes in for dental surgery the very day Tom goes away :( So I will have a sick boy on my hands for a few days..until Tomas gets back from camp that is.

On the way home from work today I had some knobs following me in their 4wd's..I think they are a sausgae shot of the barbie or something..they have a 4wd..ok, that's fine..but do they have to have number plates with KILLER, MADDOG and HILUX on it? As if we are all dumb and cannot see what kind of vehicle they have!!! And guess what kind of car this guy has with the number plate MYWGN???? I may give away a prize for the right guesser!!!

So, tell me, what dumbass number plates have you seen around?

The Cactus...

There is the blow up cactus I got from the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne. It was such a fitting decoration for the Mexican party. Adorning the side of the cactus is the lovely Stefanie..our gracious host who put us up in her apartment in Sydney. Thankyou lovely Stef :)
At the moment our girls are awaiting a hutch to be completed by their dad. It is to be inhabited by a couple of Cavy's..yes, we call them Guinea Pigs here in this house. I am glad we are going to get them for the girls, as I can make good use of the scrap vegetables from after dinner, instead of turfing them in the garbage bin.

An addit to the story of happenings above is that yesterday the most gorgeous plumber came to our place and fixed our loo that has been leaking (before you all go eeewwww..it is the clean water that was leaking). This has meant that the 4 kids have been using our loo in the ensuite for the past....many, many, months. Now they can use their own!!! Yippeeee. Then again, young Mia did come in at ha-past-4 this a.m. to use mine (Grrrr!!!). Big hugs all round for our loverly plumber :)

My weekend as a Mexican....

There's the coolest picture I have of me as a Mexican up in Sydney. Next to me is the lovely Chantelle. We had a blast of a time eating all things Mexican and drinking the famous Sangria Punch that Chantelle's flat mate Stefanie made up. There were about 30 people or so at the party and we all partied until 5a.m. I bet the likes of Taxi Club and Arq were down on revenue last Saturday night because everyone was at Chani's party!!!

We went to the lovely Darling Harbour and spent lunch time on the Saturday at a Yum Cha Restaurant (I only ate steamed foods there). Spent some cash at Paddy's Market which is a great place to go. The sun was shining all weekend for us. I cannot wait until the next trip up to Sydney, I always feel so relaxed there, never feel like a tourist any more.

DAY 5......kick start....

SOUP, BEEF AND TOMATOES: Eat a piece of lean beef or a skinless breast of chicken no bigger than a deck of cards with six luscious tomatoes. Vegetarians can substitute tofu. These quantities are per day. You can go easy on the soup today.
That's my staple for today. Yesterday I said to someone I wouldn't get tired of the soup, but I should not have said that because today I am sick of it! I am about to have my lunch and that will be a skinless piece of chook boob :)
Tonight we are going to Sydney so I will not blog over the weekend. We are going to a Mexican party in the suburb of Banksia for our lovely friend Chantelle. Tis a secret and I cannot wait to surprise her :)
I also have an awesome blow up.......cactus for the Mexican theme of the party, should be ace!!!
Will post pics of our Mexican party next week....adios amigos!!!

Day 4.....

Soup and banana smoothies...no no no, not TOGETHER people!!! That is my staple for today. Still don't mind the soup, but my family hate it...coz of the wind it produces...LOL!! I know, too much information.
One more sleep and I go to Sydney, without the rug rats..yayy! Honestly, I think I need it, of late I have had a bad cold and turned into an infection needing antibiotics to kill off the bug..YUK! I ahte the anti's the good diet is purging all the retarded toxins outta my bodeee :)
My kids have the best baby sitter in the World..a gorgeous one at that!! I am sure they will have an ace time...I wonder where they will go...perhaps here, or here, or even here? I guess they could just veg out and watch a DVD or something, I ordered Happy Gilmore and The Shaggy Dog on DVD so they will arrive today in the mail. I also made some more PLAYDOUGH..a lovely yellow color :)

Of Late..

I have to say to y'all, that I am sick..and tired..yes, that's it, sick and tired of late. Just cannot, as much as I try, get a good sleep. I guess it has been that way for the past year since I was sick. I think it is because, among other things, I don't really want to sleep..maybe I want to stay awake and not miss a thing..because when you know you were saved from God ( or the devil..who knows where I was going?), you just wanna keep on living. It is a bit dumb though really, because I know full well that a good night sleep is important for your health. As a mum, I know if the kids let out a noise in the night I am up in a flash to see what is up. Before I became a mum I slept well, slept in even!!!
I have been having heart palpitations of late too. They are painless, yet frighteneing. I can only imagine what my patients go through, the ones on the cardiac and cardiovascular wards. A prisoner in their own homes due to the unforseeable chest pains that may come upon them at any given time, the hope that their Anginine will kick in at the right time before they call the ambulance. It is one consolation to having the open heart surgery, they do not have to be that prisoner any more. They can go out, have fun and do some strengthening exercises to build up their cardiovascular and musculature systems.
Today I begin a kick start diet. Consists of a very large amount of vegetable soup. Today is the SOUP and FRUIT day. Eat as much of this as I like, as often as I like for today. Ride my exercise bike for 30 mins or so (I have been doing this twice a day for in the last week now, except yesterday when I worked my ass off until 9:30pm). Then tomorrow is another day.
Oh, I failed to mention, I am a BITCH without caffeine too!! I have had to stop having my usual two coffees a morning and cut out the Zero Cola I have to drink from time to time. (Hear me cry?) I need caffeine...maybe I will go eat another piece of fruit....

Bastards!

Yesterday was not a good day for the free world.
A few days ago we hear about the latest terror alert and we can't even take drinks on planes anymore because of our friends who want to spend eternity with 50 virgins or something for being a martar and helping Boeing sell more replacement planes.
I think I have discovered what the next plan is to destroy the Western world on a smaller but just as frightening scale.
Yesterday morning Andrew was taking the boys to school when she was wiped out by a suicide Mazda 121 right in front of the school. Now, I know crashes happen sometimes, but this was unbelivable!!!
Picture this... traveling down a congested street in front of a Primary School., doing 15kms per hour, watching out for crazy kids and mum's with no road sense. When all of a sudden an unsuspecting Andrew is targeted as the next victim, parked next to him on the right in a no Standing zone is a blue Mazda 121 Fidaj-3 missile. The Bitch just launched at him, no indicators no turning the head to see if it was clear to enter the road and drive off, no friggin nothing, just 3...2...1... Takeoff.
She hit Andrew's car just infront of the rear wheel, Andrew stops, Mrs Mohumid ( not her real name) keeps launching another 2 metres and wipes out the the door, mirror and the front gaurd and the other car parked in front of Mrs Mohumid. Luckily for Andrew and the boys the Mazda failed to detonate.
Andrew parks the car and goes to see if Mrs Mohumid is ok, (no injuries). She says to Andrew " How we find out who fault" then she says " Me have no insurance" Andrew says "That's Ok, me have full comp insurance and they fix my car good, then they sue your ass coz you very bad driver"
they exchanged details and left.
Andrew got a quote and it looks like the Insurance company might write the Exa off coz panels are rare and expensive and that sucks, but shit happens.
PS, I tried to upload a pic of the damage but for some stipid reason it wont load.
Cazzie!!!

Days events...

Today I have been busy buying material and other paraphernalia to dress the kids up for a party on Saturday. Tom wants to be Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean, Nick will be Batman and Sarah is a unicorn/horse/princess all in one..Mia will be a Barbie Fairy. I figured it would be fun to make the costumes with the kids and teach them to use the sewing machine..at least the older two for now anyhow. I will post pics of the outfits as they are done.
On the bus front, we got us a set of sidchrome spanners...phwoar I hear ya say...oh yeah baby!!!!
